TWI “Current loop”

The budget version of AMM for high-rise buildings and old problem districts is AMM based on TWI “Current Loop” wire technology. Counters have a low price. To build an AMM in a new building, it is necessary to lay a cable route to each electricity meter, as well as use a data transmission interface converter. To implement AMM in the old problem fund, it is necessary to remove all the metering devices to the general metering cabinet, replace the internal network and, if necessary, the network supplying the object; install the MTX IC interface converter as a mini-AMM center.

The MTX IC interface converter for data transmission is a simple communication device designed for the construction of AMM based on electricity meters (any control and measurement equipment that supports RS-485) of any manufacturers in GSM900/GSM1800 or Ethernet networks. The device allows you to organize LUSOD (LOSOD, LUSOD) in places with unstable coverage of the GSM network (for example, when placing electricity meters in distribution devices located in basements, shielded rooms, etc.) by using the RS-485 interface, which allows you to take the device to zone of reliable reception of the GSM network at a distance of up to 1200 m from the meters.

AMM “Current loop” is intended for problems:

  • old distribution of electrical networks at the facility;
  • networks supplying the facility are old;
  • meters in apartments, the controller is not allowed;
  • errors when transferring readings to the database;
  • large temporary costs for the collection of testimony and for the police inspector;any actions (parameterization, load limitation, time synchronization) only locally through the optoport;
  • it is difficult to protect against electricity theft.

Benefits:

  • reliable high-speed conductive communication channel “Current loop”;
  • budget price of components compared to AMM on PLC;
  • support for up to 32 counters in one cabinet;
  • full functionality of ASKOE (parameterization, consumption control, collection according to the schedule or operational collection of any data from meters);
  • data exchange channels of the MTX IC converter – GSM/GPRS, Ethernet.
